Luteolin + Urolithin A (With DHA)

Luteolin is a common flavonoid (a type of plant polyphenol) found in many fruits, vegetables, and herbs (celery, parsley, broccoli, peppers, thyme, chamomile).

It has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It can modulate signaling pathways involved in cell survival, proliferation, and inflammation (like NF-κB, AP-1, STAT3). It's studied for neuroprotective, cardioprotective, and potential anti-cancer effects in preclinical models.

Urolithin A (UA) is not directly consumed in food. It's a metabolite produced by your gut bacteria when they process ellagitannins and ellagic acid, which are found in foods like pomegranates, berries (raspberries, strawberries), walnuts, and almonds.

Its primary known function is stimulating mitophagy – the cellular process of clearing out damaged or dysfunctional mitochondria. This helps maintain cellular energy production, reduces oxidative stress from faulty mitochondria, and is linked to improved muscle function, anti-aging effects, and reduced inflammation.

DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) is a crucial omega-3 fatty acid. Found primarily in fatty fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines) and algal oil.

Known for being a fundamental structural component of the brain, retina, and cell membranes. It plays vital roles in brain development and function, vision, and regulating inflammation (it's a precursor to specialized pro-resolving mediators like resolvins and protectins). It influences membrane fluidity, which affects cell signaling and receptor function. Also studied for cardiovascular benefits and potential roles in mood and cognitive health.

There are a lot of synergy between these compounds. Together, they hit inflammation from multiple angles: blocking initiation (Luteolin), cleaning up inflammatory sources (UA via mitophagy), and promoting active resolution (DHA metabolites).

In terms of cellular protection, combining direct antioxidant protection (Luteolin), internal quality control and energy efficiency (UA), and structural/functional membrane support (DHA) leads to overall healthier, more resilient cells better able to withstand stress and damage.

They also combine well to protect mitochondria from damage (Luteolin), ensure efficient function (DHA influence), and clear out the irreparable ones (UA). DHA and Luteolin can also influence gut health and inflammation. Healthy mitochondria (supported by UA) are crucial systemically.

2-3 times a day is a good dose.
